If you want to learn guitar, take lessons.
If you want to love to play guitar, take lessons from Harry.

Harry’s been playing and writing his own music for 40 years. Not only has he formed and played in a number of bands, he has toured the United States and Europe. Two of Harry’s  bands — the Millions, and For Against — received international attention.

So, that’s Harry's story…but what’s your sound? Harry will help you find your guitar voice whether that’s on an electric or acoustic guitar. He teaches to your strengths, at your pace, so you’ll be jamming to your favorite song in no time.

The best part about working with Harry, is that he uses songs you actually like, to teach you the techniques you need to know.

About Harry Dingman

Lead guitarist. touring musician. song writer. teacher.

I’ve taught for over 20 years, from beginning to advanced students, and I strive to help people find their own sound on guitar. I worked at Dietze for 18 years and in 2015, started teaching out of our home to offer students more options such as recording, group jamming, and a band-like setting.

I graduated form Nebraska Wesleyan University with a BFA and while there, I recorded three albums with For Against. One of the albums, Echelons, was nominated for a Grammy Award. After graduating from Wesleyan, I formed the band The Millions. We signed to a major label record label, Polygram, and it was the first band in Lincoln to sign with a major label in 25 years. We put out two critically acclaimed albums and toured the US and Europe with Sheryl Crow. Additionally, we opened for major artists such as the Smashing Pumpkins, 311, Joan Jett, Eddie Money and many more.

From 2004 to 2011, For Against recorded two new studio albums, toured Europe four times and played shows in New York City and Atlanta. In 2015, Captured Tracks, a prestigious New York record label, re-released a deluxe boxset of the band’s first 3 albums.

My home studio also often offers the opportunity to meet my family which includes my wife, Holly, daughters Sonja (11), Alice (7), son Jay (4), border collie, Jenny and Dutch rabbit Hide’n.

When you learn to play guitar with me, you are learning from an experienced teacher and touring musician who has a love for the guitar. I want to continue to share my experience with interested students so you, too, can have your own musical and creative journey.
